Fellowship & Community

At St. Mark, we believe that strong relationships are essential for spiritual growth and well-being. That's why we prioritize fellowship and community. Join us for various social events, potlucks, and gatherings throughout the year. Connect with others who share your faith and build lasting friendships. Discover the joy of being part of a supportive and welcoming community.

Congregational Life

The mission of the Congregational Life Ministry is to strengthen and nurture our faith community. We promote Christian fellowship while attending to the well-being and unification of the congregation. This is provided through planning programs and events, frequently in collaboration with other ministries, such as:

  • An annual All Church Family Retreat in the Hill Country
  • Faithful Friends and Family Dinners
  • Fifth Sunday luncheons and other special meals
  • An annual Chili Cook-off
  • TGIF (Thanking God in Fellowship)
  • Fellowship groups and activities requested by the congregation

Become a Member

St. Mark is a place for team members, not spectators. Whether you are 5 or 95, building a career, raising a family, or enjoying retirement, you have a home here. There is a place for you to grow, serve, and belong.

Here are some ways to learn, serve, and grow at St. Mark:

  • Attend worship, then join us for coffee in the Hospitality Center.
  • Explore Sunday School classes in the Family Life Center.
  • Connect through gatherings such as 5th Sunday meals, Advent Activity, Epiphany Party, study groups, sewing groups, lunch groups, book clubs, and more.
  • Bring your kids to First Friday (Parents’ Night Out), September through May.
  • Teens can get plugged into the Youth Group schedule and events.
  • Serve on a ministry team — Worship, Property, Communications, Children/Youth, Adult Education, Congregational Life, Outreach, and more.

St. Mark welcomes new members at any time. The only requirement for joining a Presbyterian church is a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

  • Profession of Faith (and baptism if not previously baptized).
  • Reaffirmation of Faith (if not active in another church).
  • Transfer of Letter (from another Christian church).

New members meet briefly with the pastor and elders and are welcomed during worship. Let the pastor or church office know you’re ready, or join during a Next Step class.

Volunteer Application

At St. Mark, serving is one of the most meaningful ways we live out our faith. To provide a safe environment for children, youth, and vulnerable adults, we ask all volunteers in these ministries to complete a screening form and short online training.

Thank you for offering your gifts, your heart, and your time. Your service strengthens our church and helps share the love of Christ with all who come through our doors.
