SUNDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE

FOR ALL AGES

Children’s Sunday School (10:10 am - 11:00 am)

Childcare is available each Sunday from 8:45 until 12:30 for our youngest children. The Nursery is located in the Children’s Ministry Building . Children five years of age and under may enjoy playing while being supervised by our professional childcare workers under the leadership of Kim Hodge and Jennifer Schwichtenberg.

 

Congregational Worship at 9:00 and 11:10 - Children bring special gifts to worship and grow in faith through their regular inclusion and participation in the worship of the congregation. Worship Bags are provided, just outside the sanctuary, containing activities to help children stay quietly busy, while listening and taking part in the worship experience.  

Sundays Cool for children Preschool is led by Jennifer Swichtenberg and Kim Hodge. Candice McFarlane, one of our Youth, is a new volunteer teacher! Through stories, crafts and play, the children will be learning to hide key scriptures in their hearts. Lessons are tied to the ABC Memory Book. Kinder through Fifth Grade is led by a team of rotating teachers, including: Barbara Watson, Betty Fuqua, Luanne Hicks, and Melanie Hoffmann. Lessons will focus on the Ten Commandments, then move on to a Lenten/Easter focus toward the end of February.


Youth Sunday School (10:10 am - 11:00 am)

Sundays Cool for 6th – 12th grades in the portable bldg. from 10:10 – 11:00 each Sun. morning. Winter teachers include: Karly Semenov, Elizabeth McLean, Hal McCall and Paul Whitehead.

J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) for grades 6 -12 in the fellowship hall from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Sanctuary every Sunday evening for fellowship, study, and fun.  Snack (not meal) provided. 

Adult Sunday School (10:10 – 11:00 am)

The Present Word study “The Awareness of God’s Instruction,” will focus on the inspiration that comes to us through God’s call. Because we have been called to a partnership with God, we can find inspiration to learn, love, pray, and trust. Luke’s Gospel will be the foundation for these winter lessons. Meets in Portable 1, Room #7. Teachers: Bill and Kate Dalton, Jack Charles, Bess Shields and Gene Horne.    

The Explorers will focus the first part of January on completing Today’s Truths from Ancient Corinth, a video based study of Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, taught by Dr. Ken Bailey. A new study will begin January 27th titled Great Themes of the Bible, based on a book by Eugene March. Meets in Portable 1, Room #6. Teachers: Hal Fessler, Bill Franklin, Mike/Susan Penrod and others.  

MP3s (Marriage/Parenting Fellowship with the Triune God) The start of the New Year will be a continuation of Adam Hamilton’s video-based study, Confronting the Contraversies: A Christian Looks at the Tough Issues. Meets in the Parlour; may move to Fellowship Hall when Parlour remodeling is complete as space needs may require. Teachers include: Sean Kavanagh, Rob West, Luanne Hicks, and Craig Childs.
