Our Purpose: To lovingly lead the children of our church to grow into active disciples of Christ.

Our Goals: The Children's Ministry at St. Mark is committed to:

1. To guide children in the knowledge that they are beloved children of God.

2. To share knowledge of God's plan for our lives, using Biblically-grounded
    curriculum to study both the Old and New Testaments.

3. To share Christ and His plan for salvation, and to guide each child into personal
    commitments to Jesus as Lord and Savior. We trust that the Holy Spirit will lead
    and prepare each child to receive this gift.

4. To help children develop an awareness of their Christian responsibility to
    participate in the life and work of the church, and to serve God at home, in
    the community, and in the world.

Our Ministries: Babies & Toddles (birth to 3 years), Early Childhoold (ages 3 - 4), Elementary (grades K-5th), Children's Choir (ages 5 years to 5th grade), G.E.M. Nights for Children, Special Family Activities.

Babies & Toddlers (birth to 3 years)

In our well-equipped nursery rooms (Sunday School Building), we provide nurture according to the age and development of each child. Parents can leave their young children with confidence with our trained and loving caregivers. Group Publishing’s Play-n-Worship is the curriculum for this age group.

Early Childhoold (ages 3 - 4)

Bright, attractive, well-equipped rooms reflect our love and concern for the needs of our young children. They enjoy a short Bible story, or puppet show, music, outside play, and plenty of fun! Our teachers guide preschoolers into a beginning knowledge of the Bible, leading them toward a belief in God as reveled through Jesus Christ. This class is taught in a manner appropriate for the children's age and development. This age group also uses Group Publishing’s Play-n-Worship curriculum.

Elementary (grades K-5th)

Children in grades kindergarten through 5th grade will experience a Bible based education with an interactive approach. Our teachers will be leading them in Group Publishing’s Hands On Bible Curriculum study attempting to teach as Jesus taught. Memorization of Bible verses will be encouraged as part of this program. Children Kindergarten through 2nd grade are in Room 5 of the Children’s Ministry Building across from the Sanctuary. Children 3rd grade through 5th grade are in Room 4.

Children's Choir (ages 5 years to 5th grade)

Meets on Sunday mornings during 9 a.m. worship service starting in September. They will learn beautiful songs and are taught to play a recorder. The Children’s Choir performs through out the year in both services.

Special Family Activities

Special events throughout the year such as the Advent Celebration, Family Christmas Eve service, Easter Festival, Youth Sunday, Ice Cream Social, Family Camp at Mo Ranch and many other activities that encourage fun and fellowship!
